Marion Bohlsen Sept. 26, 1929 - July 3, 2017 Marion Bohlsen, age 87, of Clara City died Monday evening, July 3, at the Clara City Care Center in Clara City, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, July 8, at Bunde Christian Reformed Church in rural Clara City. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday at the Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. (www.tricountyfuneral.com) Marion Ann Bohlsen was born on September 26, 1929 in rural Prinsburg the daughter of Henry and Rena (Negen) Buss. The family moved to the Kerkhoven area in 1936 and this is where Marion received her early education. They then moved to a farm near Emden in the Renville area and she completed her education, graduating from Renville High School in 1948. Marion then worked for the Clara City Creamery for about 1 year. On December 12, 1950, she was married to Marvin Frank Bohlsen and they made their home on the Bohlsen family farm near Clara City. They farmed together until they retired in the mid 1990’s. Marion was an active member of Bunde Christian Reformed Church, enjoyed camping, traveling, meeting and visiting with people, square dancing, sewing, quilting and doing embroidery work. She loved being with and entertaining family and friends and reading. Marion is survived by four daughters: Beverly (and Dave) Jensen of Redwood Falls, Barbara Niehaus and special friend Bill Smith of Sauk Centre, Marilyn (and Brian) Lohse of Raymond and Lois (and Thomas) Coatney of Eden Prairie. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two brothers: Ken (and Marlys) Buss of Chandler, AZ and Tom (and Thelma) Buss of Eden Prairie and one sister, Marge (and Curt) Miller of Sierra Madre, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin in May of this year and one brother-in-law, Curt Dalien.
