Harriet Zondervan Jan. 18, 1920  -  Aug. 14, 2016                        Harriet Zondervan, age 96, of Willmar formerly of the Prinsburg area, died Sunday evening, August 14, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.              Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, at Emden Christian Reformed Church in Renville.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 18, at Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg  and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.   Harriet was born January 18, 1920, in Prinsburg, Minnesota, the daughter of Garret and Mabel (Wieberdink) Bonnema.  She grew up in the Prinsburg area and attended Prinsburg Christian School.  On March 24, 1943, she married John Zondervan.  They lived and farmed in  the Prinsburg area until 2005, when they moved to Willmar.   Harriet was a member of Emden Christian Reformed Church, where she was active in Mission Club and Ladies Aid.  She enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with her family at Leech Lake.  She also enjoyed attending the State Fair and all of the area parades.  She will be remembered for her delicious homemade buns and potato salad.   She is survived by her three children: Weldon (and Charlotte) Zondervan of Renville, Rev. Jim (and Caroline) Zondervan of Lethbridge, Alberta, and Linda Slagter of Willmar; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are a sister: Norma Viss of Minneapolis; a brother-in-law: Fred Grussing of Clara City; two sisters-in-law: Tiena Zondervan of Raymond and Ardis Zondervan of Prinsburg; and other relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John in 2007; a son-in-law: Arvid Slagter; a daughter-in-law: Betty Zondervan; a brother: Milton Bonnema; and a sister: Eleanor Zondervan.
