Glennis "Glenny" Van Eps Obituary

 

Glennis "Glenny" Ruth Van Eps, age 79, of Prinsburg, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 27, at Cura of Willmar.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 3, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg.  Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, August 2, at the First Christian Reformed Church and will continue for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Holland Township Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be direct to Central Minnesota Christian School or the First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg.  Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home.  www.tricountyfuneral.com

 

Glennis was born on September 5, 1944, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Bram and Minnie (Rooda) Boonstra.  She grew up in the Priam/Raymond area, attended Priam District School through 8th grade and graduated from Raymond High School.  On February 2, 1962, at the Raymond Christian Reformed Church, Glenny was married to Harvey Van Eps and they made their home in the Raymond and Prinsburg communities.  She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg.  Glenny enjoyed baking cookies with her grandkids, gardening, sewing, summer vacations with her family and playing games.

 

She is survived by her husband, Harvey; four children, Bradley (and Pam) Van Eps of Vadnais Heights, Jill (and Dave) Brouwer of Prinsburg, Lisa (and Randy) Pfeifle of Edgerton and Ryan (and Stephanie) Van Eps of Prinsburg; twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.  Also surviving are five siblings, Gordon Boonstra of Burnsville; Alton (and Lylas) Boonstra of Spicer, Dennis Boonstra of Willmar, Sally (and Don) Ahrenholz of Prinsburg and Burt (and Cheryl) Boonstra of Edina; one sister-in-law, Wilma Boonstra of Raymond; besides many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Stanley and Jacob; an infant sister, Mary Ann; and three sisters-in-law, Lorraine, Marge and Gwen.
