Nov. 30, 1915 - Jan. 29, 2016 , age 100, of Prinsburg, died Friday evening, January 29, at Central Minnesota Senior Care in Prinsburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, at First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg. Interment will be Holland Township Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Tri-County Funeral Home of Prinsburg, www.tricountyfuneral.com. was born on November 30, 1915, on the family farm near Prinsburg, the daughter of Charles and Annie (Hoogeveen) Ledeboer. She grew up in the Prinsburg community and received her education at the Christian School in Prinsburg. On December 29, 1936, Gertrude was united in marriage to Henry Louis Meyer and they made their home in Prinsburg. Gertrude worked as a homemaker, a telephone operator in Prinsburg, at the Variety Supply Store in Clara City and then at the grocery store in Prinsburg. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg and was active in the missions club. She was also an active volunteer at Central Minnesota Christian School. In retirement years, Gertrude and Henry spent their winters down in Texas. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, needlework, and gardening vegetables and flowers. She is survived by three daughters, Lucille (and Melvin) Nederhoff of Steamboat Rock, IA, Ardis (and Donald) Pranger of Montague, MI, and Sharon (and Dennis) Mulder of Mesa, AZ; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Gerald Ledeboer of Irving, TX, Clarence (and Janet) Ledeboer of Minneapolis, and Norman (and Sharon) Ledeboer of Medicine Lake; four sisters, Ann Thrall of Minneapolis, Thresa Berghuis of Prinsburg, Elva Post of Prinsburg, and Lois Cook of Prinsburg; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry in 1992; five brothers, Harry, Arthur in infancy, Arthur, Donald and Delroy; and one sister, Marilyn Kreps.
