Floyd Schneck Obituary

Floyd Schneck Sept. 10, 1937  -  Aug. 16, 2018 Floyd Schneck, age 80, of Willmar, formerly of Prinsburg, died Thursday evening, August 16, at Bethesda Club Suites in Willmar. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, at First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg.  Interment will be at Holland Township Cemetery in Prinsburg.  Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, at First Christian Reformed Church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg, www.tricountyfuneral.com. Floyd Ivan Schneck was born September 10, 1937, on a farm northeast of Sacred Heart, Minnesota, the son of George and Jessie (Frieborg) Schneck.  He attended elementary school at Country School 131 and high school in Sacred Heart, graduating in 1955.  On July 25, 1958, he married Doris Marcus.  They made their home in Prinsburg until May 2018 when they moved to Willmar.  Floyd worked for VSC in Clara City for 25 years as a warehouse worker and buyer, was custodian at Central Minnesota Christian School for two years, and then worked 20+ years in the warehouse at PALS in Willmar until his retirement in 2007. Floyd was a member of First Christian Reformed Church, where he served as an elder or deacon at different times.  He enjoyed Men's Bible Study on Tuesday mornings and served as the church custodian for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Doris; three children: Laurie (and Kim) Duininck of Prinsburg, Bryan (and Kelly) Schneck of Willmar, and Lynn (and Richard) Henning of Roseland; son-in-law: Jeff (and Penni) Bond of Prinsburg; thirteen grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are his brother: Alfred (and Anna) Schneck of Sedona, AZ; his mother-in-law: Serena Marcus; a brother-in-law: Clinton (and LaVerna) Marcus; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law: Herman Marcus; and a daughter: Barb Bond in 2003.
