Eugene L. Schwitters April 6, 1949  -  October 27, 2014          Eugene “Gene” L. He was born at Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo MN. He grew up on a farm near Clara City and attended Clara City High School. On January 9, 1970, he was married to Joyce Maxine Swart. They made their home on the farm until they moved to Clara City in 2003. Gene was a life-long member of Bunde CRC and served in various ways in the community, church, and at Central MN Christian School. Gene was a committed family man and friend to all. Anyone who knew Gene was blessed by his kind, genuine nature, friendly smile, unforgettable laugh and sense of humor. He enjoyed traveling, visiting and spending time with family and friends. He valued the times he could be with his wife, kids, and grandkids especially when they played “31” together.  One of Gene’s goals that were found written in his bible, was to live a righteous life by faith not a religious life where man attempts to cover himself without God.       He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Clara City: his son Jason and Stacy (Groen) Schwitters of Clara City; daughter Angela and Jeffrey Brouwer of Raymond. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Lucas and Kalley Schwitters, Ryan, Ethan, Isaac, and Ashlyn Brouwer and four brothers; Delwin (and Elizabeth) Schwitters of Clara City, Wayne (and Janice) Schwitters of Willmar, Lowell (and Marcia) Schwitters of Clara City, Robert (and Sharon) Schwitters of Clara City, besides other relatives and friends.        Gene was preceded in death by his parents; and two daughters in infancy.
