Donna Mae Plowman June 6, 1931 - Aug. 11, 2015 Donna Mae Plowman, age 84, of Willmar, formerly of Prinsburg, died Tuesday evening, August 11, at the Rice Care Center in Willmar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, August 19, at First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg. Interment will be in the Holland Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18, at the First Christian Reformed Church and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg. Memorial gifts are preferred to Central Minnesota Christian Schools or Children of the Promise (Haiti). Donna Mae Plowman was born June 6, 1931, the second of six children, to Bertus and Wilhemina (Bonnema) Van Heuveln of Prinsburg. She grew up in the Prinsburg area and received her education at the Prinsburg Christian School and Clara City High School. She was united in marriage to Henry Plowman in 1949 and to this marriage were born four children. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Reformed Church of Prinsburg. In addition to being a busy farm wife and mother, she worked at various pursuits both paid and volunteer, including on the Board of the Christian Rest Home (now Rice Care Center), the Willmar Birthright office, and as the first Tupperware dealer in the Prinsburg area. She also acquired college experience at Willmar Community College, which nurtured her love of words and writing. Throughout her life, music played a vital part. In her younger years, she and her sisters sang and performed at numerous events, including for a time on a weekly KWLM radio program. Music continued to be her great love throughout her life and gave deepest expression to her faith as a child of Christ, her Savior. She is survived by her four children, all of Willmar; Deadre' (and Herman) Van Niejenhuis and their children Brendan (Heather Flood), Patrick and Justin (Laura); Kerry (and Marlin) Breems and their children Christina (and Kirk) Vander Pol, Nick (and Jenni) and Matt (and Melissa); Jeffrey (and Jewell) and their children Angela (and Charles) Miedema, Arnold (and Danielle), Francesca (and Jason) Beukelman, and David; and Arnold (and Kandus) and their children Andrew (Nicole), Elizabeth (and Andy) Happe, and Austin (and Brianne). In addition, she leaves 22 great-grandchildren, two sisters Wanda Kleinhuizen and Wilmette (Junior) Swanson, two brothers Burton (and Sandy) Van Heuveln and LeMar (and Norma) Van Heuveln; one brother-in-law Fred (and Jackie) Plowman and one sister-in-law, Caroline (and John D.) Kreps, and many other relatives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry in 2000 and sister, Maureen Thiel.
