Arlene I. Larpenteur

             Arlene I. (Spieker) Larpenteur, age 98, of Tucson, AZ., and formerly of Raymond, MN., passed away Sept. 12, 2019 at her residence.   Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Raymond.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.     Arlene Inez (Spieker) Larpenteur was born on May 21, 1921, in Raymond, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Freda (Martin) Spieker and raised there along with her four siblings.  In 1947, Arlene married William Larpenteur at St John's Lutheran Church in Raymond.   With William in the military, Arlene traveled and lived in California and Florida while raising five children.   In 1962, Arlene returned to Raymond and worked at the Willmar State Hospital.  In 1985, when Arlene retired, she moved to Tucson, Arizona and lived there until she passed away at the age of 98.     She is survived by her five children, Ronald Larpenteur,  Gloria (and Dennis) Hack, Philip Larpenteur,  Lois Dixon and  June Larpenteur, all of Tucson AZ.;  five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Vernon and Carroll Spieker, besides other relatives and friends.     She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Freda Spieker; her  husband, William; one brother, Orville Spieker and one sister, Verna Sandven.
