Albertha Roelofs

Feb. 13, 1929  -  Feb. 7, 2015              , age 85, of Renville and formerly of Prinsburg, died Saturday morning, Feb. 7, at the Renvilla Nursing Home in Renville.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Raymond Christian Reformed Church in Raymond.  Interment will be in Holland Township Cemetery in Prinsburg.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, at the Raymond Christian Reformed Church and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Raymond Christian Reformed Church or the Central Minnesota Christian School in Prinsburg are preferred.  Arrangements are with the Tri-County Funeral Home of Prinsburg.  www.tricountyfuneral.com   was born on February 13, 1929, in Roseland, Minnesota, the daughter of Nicholas and Angelina (Knoll) Brouwer.  She grew up and received her education in  Roseland.  She was baptized and made her confession of faith at the Roseland Reformed Church.  On October 22, 1949, at the Roseland Reformed Church, Albertha was united in marriage to Reynold Roelofs.  They lived in the communities of Roseland, Prinsburg and Raymond where she worked as a homemaker.  Albertha was a member of the Raymond Christian Reformed Church and was active in various church women’s groups.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, annual camping trips to various lakes throughout Minnesota, and family gatherings.  She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Albertha was always willing to help others in a time of need.   She is survived by her husband, Reynold of Renville; four children,  Robert (and Debra) Roelofs of Spicer, Marlys (and Randy) Dannen of Willmar, Randall (and Ronna) Roelofs of Prinsburg and Daryl Roelofs of Maynard; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother, Melvin (and Kathy) Brouwer of Willmar and two sisters, Serena (and Herman) Marcus of Prinsburg and Adeline (and Ben) Groen of Renville, besides other relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harland Brouwer.
