Albertha Van Eps

Albertha Van Eps Nov. 6, 1919  -  Nov. 4, 2014              Albertha Van Eps, age 94, of Willmar, formerly of Prinsburg, died Tuesday afternoon, November 4, at Rice Care Center in Willmar.              Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 8, at First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg.  Interment will be at the Holland Township Cemetery in Prinsburg.  Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 7, at the church and one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg (www.tricountyfuneral.com).   Albertha was born November 6, 1919 in Hull, Iowa, the daughter of Harm and Antonia (Trump) Stoel.  She grew up and received her education in Slayton, Minnesota.  On January 19, 1939, she married William Van Eps in Chandler, Minnesota.  They lived in Chandler, Hancock and Willmar before moving to Prinsburg in 1966.  While living in Prinsburg, they worked as farm managers for Willmar Poultry until their retirement in 1979.  They moved to West View Village in Willmar in 2003.    Albertha was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg.  She enjoyed embroidery, fishing, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.   She is survived by her children, Kathy (and Melvin) Brouwer of Willmar, Harvey (and Glennis) Van Eps of Prinsburg, Wally (and Sharon) Van Eps of Renville, Tony (and Maxine) Van Eps of Willmar, and Gary (and Sue) Van Eps of Willmar; a son-in-law, Bob Honzay of Olivia; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Gertrude Zuidema of Great Falls, MT; and other relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William in 2004; a daughter, Barb Honzay; two infant children; a granddaughter, Kelly Van Eps; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Van Eps; three brothers; and two sisters.
