Betty L. Lundquist, age 76, of rural Blomkest, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 29, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, at the Roseland Reformed Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, at the Roseland Reformed Church and will also continue for one hour prior to the service. Betty Lou Lundquist was born on February 27, 1947, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of Irhn and Helen (Olson) Day. She grew up in the Montevideo community and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1965. On August 8, 1969, Betty was united in marriage to Ronald Duaine Lundquist. They made their home on a farm SE of Roseland. Betty stayed at home and worked hard as a homemaker. After her children were all grown up, she attended the Willmar Community College and earned her AA degree. She worked as a Paraprofessional for the DRSH School District for over 5 years. Betty was an active member of Roseland Reformed Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and MOPS leader. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, watching western movies, attending garage sales with her friends, reading bible devotions, and being a grandma.
She is survived by his two children, Stacy (and David) Whitaker of Sebeka and Chad (and Sara) Lundquist of Morris; two grandchildren, Greta (and Zach) James and Henry Lundquist; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Robert (and Rebecca) Day of Norwood-Young America, besides other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
